Some things are important
Sometimes the universe throws in a genius for good measure. If the world is particularly lucky, that genius is also a good person. On the 10th of July, 1856 we were thrown Nikola Tesla - aka the most iconic scientist ever to wander the earth.

It's easier to list what he didn't invent considering most of the world we live in today is a result of him meddling about, trying to do cool shit. Despite his awesomeness, humanity sucked more than normal when he was alive. The man that should have been lapping up affection and luxury, spending his twilight years creating more cool stuff ended up alone, peniless and unable to realise his last great vision.

A fragment of this vision still exists.

The Wardenclyffe tower is up for sale. The internet - in all its geeky glory - has raised enough money to save it from bulldozers but what we need now is to build a proper museum for the man that created our world.

Or I could just bribe you with him wearing traditional costume.
