experimental fic
So - totally and completely frustrated with the lack of backstory regarding the five races and general history of the stargate universe, plagued with plot bunnies and hyped up on lozengers - I decided to have a go at writing a fic about how the Goa'uld came to power in our galaxy. It's not entirely AU as it involves Lord Ba'al, Ra, Anubis, Thor, Loki and a few other characters you might recognise. I also included a theory as to why the Furlings are nowhere to be seen. Give it a go - I'd adore some feedback. I apologise in advance if it's a bit blood thirsty...

Title:
Stargate - Rise of the Goa'uld
Chapter: 1 Slaughtered
By: ellymelly
Characters: Ba'al, Thor, Ra,
Wordcount: 2 349
Rated: M (violence)
Summary: An attempt to explain how the Goa'uld came to power and why the alliance of the five races failed.

Groovy stuff...ambitious too. I'd often wondered how the five most intelligent and powerful races in the galaxy(ies) managed to lose against parasites that couldn't do a thing without hands. And, the Furlings...so unresolved.

Tell me, though: HOW THE HELL DO YOU TRAIN YOUR BRAIN?

Is there some secret way of following through on an idea that NO one is telling me about?! *cries a little bit* I want to write, too, dammit!

Hi, btw : )

LMAO I don't train my brain, it just ignores me. I'm like: "work, work!" and it's like, "Frak you - I'm writing."

Hi, btw :D LMAO

If you want to write, I found the best thing is to have someone either betering or reading what you're writing. Keeps you honest. lol. I know that if there's someone waiting for the next chapter, I have to actually finish it. Also, I keep a writing journal for my real novel. There's so much backstory and character development - snippets of dialogue or ideas I should follow through with. All of that helps!

If you need someone to read your stuff, I'm always here :D

Now - go read my stuff DAMMIT! LOL
